4 More Days of Voting for MCN Board of Directors
Members of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, now is your opportunity to vote for your preferred representatives for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits’ Board of Directors.
From the MCN website:
The competitive election will shape the future of the membership association for years to come.
MCN member organizations are represented by an elected board of directors which works year-round to govern MCN and shape its member services and public policy strategies. MCN member votes will select the next six directors for the upcoming three-year board term (2012-2014).
Each MCN nonprofit member organization is eligible to cast a single ballot.
Nine candidates have been selected by MCN’s Board Nominating Committee to be on this year’s ballot for six open positions. Each nonprofit member organization can cast one ballot comprised of six votes, and you are your organization’s voting representative. Voting will close on Friday, September 30. The six candidates with the highest number of votes will be introduced as MCN’s next board members in October.
The nine candidates, for six open positions, are listed below.
- Bobbi Cordano, Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, St. Paul
- Tracy Fischman, AccountAbility Minnesota, St. Paul
- Jeff Larson, Rum River Health Services, Princeton
- Cathy Maes, ICA Foodshelf, Minnetonka

We encourage members of MCN to take part in this important voting process. We’re also proud to share that one of our current clients, Shelli Urness with Essentia Foundation-St. Joseph’s Foundation in Brainerd is running for election. The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits is unlike any other nonprofit professional organization throughout the entire U.S. We are fortunate to have such a solid group to advocate on behalf of the nonprofit sector and provide the training and support opportunities professionals need to thrive in today’s new normal.

Happy Voting!
