Charitable Giving up 3.9% in 2011
Yesterday, Giving USA released its annual report of charitable giving in the U.S. In 2011, charitable gifts totaled $298.42 billion.
Susan Stehiling over at the Minnesota Council on Foundations has done a great job summarizing its findings on the Philanthropy Potluck Blog.
The good news is that giving remained flat or was up across the board. Of all types of giving, bequests saw the greatest increase at 12.2%.
