Here’s proof that “Minnesota Nice” extends beyond snow blowing your neighbor’s driveway:

  • Percentage of earnings donated: 2.9 percent
  • Average household income: $98,578
  • Giving per foundation: $703,354
  • Annual volunteers: 905,400
  • Population that volunteers: 27.7 percent

What is it that makes Minnesotans so inherently nice? Could it be the unforgiving winters? Garrison Keillor might say it’s all the Lutherans. One thing’s for sure, the spirit of giving is alive in Minnesotans and it’s up to you to show them how they can contribute to the greater good through you. It’s fundraising season. Now get out there and give it your all!
